The Awards Ceremony
All Eyes on Innovation!
The Awards Ceremony is more than just a prize. This is where your innovation gets the recognition it deserves: visibility from industry experts and access to a network that’s shaping the future. Hosted by the German Design Council at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin.
The German Innovation Award Ceremony brings together the people shaping our future. Around 300 guests from business, science and society will gather at the Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology) in Berlin to celebrate trailblazing innovations—solutions that improve lives and drive transformation.
At the heart of the event are the Gold Awards, presented on the big stage. A dynamic supporting programme opens up new perspectives: inspiring keynotes, hands-on insights and lively discussions reveal how innovation is imagined and realised today. The exhibition invites guests to explore the award-winning projects up close—and to engage in conversation.
All award winners will receive their personal invitation to the Awards Ceremony in spring. Further details on the programme and schedule will follow in due time.

Where Ideas Create Tomorrow
On 13 May 2025, pioneers from business, science and design gathered at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin to celebrate the year’s most outstanding innovations. A total of 138 projects were honoured – forward-thinking solutions that respond to today’s challenges with relevance, impact and technological strength. They demonstrate that innovation succeeds when ideas truly make a difference – for people, for markets, and for our shared future.
Under the motto “Where Will Your Innovation Take Us?”, the event offered more than just a prestigious awards ceremony. A panel discussion featuring voices from business, research and design brought key questions into focus – such as why innovation needs context, what role technology should genuinely play, and how vital diverse perspectives are to real progress.
The evening made one thing clear: innovation isn’t a matter of company size – it’s about mindset, responsibility, and the willingness to actively drive change.
A special highlight: two live podcast recordings with experts from business, science and the creative industries – produced in collaboration with our media partner t3n. Episodes will be released shortly.
