Pionierkraft facilitates solar systems for multi-family homes by enabling landlords and housing cooperatives to profitably sell self generated energy without administrative hurdles to their tenants. Therefore, we have developed a patented energy-sharing behind-the-meter solution that operates fully autonomously. With this physical product we are enabling every existing solar installer to acquire this customer segment, representing more than 50 % of Germany’s residential building stock. This synergy of more than 200 installers across Germany makes the product highly scalable, shown by more than 500 deployed projects already.

The efficient use of solar energy in multifamily houses presents a major challenge due to technical and administrative hurdles. Pionierkraft offers an innovative solution with its energy system that allows self-generated solar energy to be shared directly and easily with tenants, without the need to feed excess electricity into the grid at unattractive rates. The system combines a physical distribution solution with a digital platform for billing, monitoring, and energy management, thereby creating an economically viable model for property owners while simultaneously saving costs for tenants. Through scalability and the involvement of numerous solar installers, broad market penetration is enabled. This innovation closes an existing gap in the tenant electricity market and promotes sustainable energy supply in a significant residential segment.
