Description To celebrate Graubündner Kantonalbank’s 150th anniversary, skipp communications AG developed the first ever digital summit register. Using NFC and QR codes, summiteers can add photos and videos to their entries. Using electromagnetic induction and NFC technology, which is now built into all mobile phones, a mobile phone held a few centimetres away can contactlessly read the summit code. By the end of 2020, 150 summit registers had been installed throughout Graubünden – all of which work without electricity. We want the summit e-registers to encourage people to experience the Swiss mountain landscape. Within one year there were 200,000 page views.
