Hideaway
Description
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, analogue life is on hold and the personal computer has become everyone’s closest friend. In response to these special circumstances, Ulrike Krages and her architecture office UK Urban Comfort in Hamburg have launched a new project in the Harz Mountains called Hideaway. In the middle of the mountain range, two and a half hours from Hamburg and Berlin, she is building a unique nature resort with a high recreational factor that will function as a co-working space. After sufficient renovation, the location, an old campsite, will welcome stressed residents from the city, hikers and mountain bikers who value peace, relaxation and sustainability. Because remote work can also take place in a tent or tiny house.
