LifePad
Description
Administering first aid is vital to saving a person’s life in an emergency, yet many people are reluctant to do so. This is where the »LifePad®« by Beurer comes in. The pad has step-by-step instructions for what to do and shows the correct position. It also provides visual and acoustic feedback to help ensure the optimum compression depth and rhythm. Thanks to its A5 size and flexible material, the device can be stored anywhere and easily adapts to any body shape.
Jury statement
A heart attack is one of the most common causes of death. Thousands of people die because many first-aiders are overwhelmed by the idea of giving chest compressions and do not carry out this fundamentally simple but life-saving activity. The »LifePad®«, developed by Beurer, actively overcomes this as it displays easily understandable, step-by-step instructions on what to do and therefore alleviates concerns and self-doubt. In the event of an emergency, the pad is simply placed on the chest of the patient where the first-aider can clearly see it. It also serves as a pad for chest compressions. A visual and acoustic feedback system helps to achieve the optimum compression depth and frequency. A cleverly devised product that is light in weight, only takes up a small amount of space and can save lives in emergencies.
