Thermoplastic Composite guide rails for a sunroof roller-blind

Description Webasto and Polyscope have redesigned the aluminum guide rails of a sunroof roller blind module in thermoplastic composite (XIRAN® SMA/ABS-GF). Easy sliding, perfect geometry and a solid connection to other sunroof component – cross-beams, motor mechanism, roof structure, glass and headliner – can be achieved. It is the first time that a thermoplastic composite has successfully replaced aluminum for guide rails on roller-blind sunroof modules.
